The business is led by Andrew Palmer, Divisional Executive Chairman. Andrew is a highly experienced senior manager and winner of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. Between 2005 and 2013 he was Group Managing Director of the £155 million Suttons Group, and he has also held senior management positions at Bibby Group, Transport Development Group and Procter & Gamble. Andrew is responsible for shaping the direction and operations of the business, and takes a hands-on approach to management. He is also a member of Advisory Board of the University of Liverpool Management School.
As General Manager, Margaret Bell has responsibility for production operations at SGL's two Nelson plants. Margaret has a wealth of experience in Planning, Customer Service, Sales, Operations and Management with over 20 years' spent in a food environment.
Head of Business Support
David Hogg has spent his entire career in food manufacture and packaging. Starting in 1975 as a General Manager at Dalgety PLC, he gained experience with William Jacksons and St Ivel, and then held senior management positions at Northern Foods, Premier Foods and Dairy Crest. David is accustomed to meeting the service requirements of major retailers, and has a record of developing operations that deliver enhanced performance.

John Harvey CBE
Keswick Enterprises was formed in 2004 by John Harvey CBE (left) and associates to make strategic investments and acquisitions in supply chain-related businesses. Through pro-active management, Keswick aims to add know-how and experience to accelerate the development of its member companies.
John Harvey is the former Chairman and Chief Executive of the £328 million inter-continental supply chain management business Tibbett & Britten Group plc, and has been a member of both the CIES International Supply Chain & Logistics Forum and the DTLR Road Haulage Forum. John has also been a Board member of the UK Institute of Grocery Distribution, and has served on its management committee since 1992. In addition, he has been both a member of the Advisory Board of the Cranfield Centre for Logistics & Transportation at Cranfield University (and its Chairman since 1998), and a Visiting Professor at the Cranfield School of Management.
The Keswick main Board director with responsibility for SGL Co-packing is Gavin Withers BSc, ACMA. Gavin is bi-lingual in French and English, and started his career as a Unilever graduate trainee, before gaining management experience at Van Den Bergh Foods in the UK and Unilever Raw Materials in The Netherlands. He has additionally held the role of Finance Director at a number of Tibbett & Britten subsidiaries, as well as at Napier Brown Foods and Delamode Group. In addition to his responsibilities at SGL Co-packing, he is Chairman of Keswick Enterprises' Romanian member company, Tibbett Logistics.
